1) What insights did you gain reading this interview?

Well an insight was that she tired to remember some incidents in her life to write about. To make her autobiography more interesting to read.

2) What do you think Angelou means by "deep talk" and how does it relate to her writing?

What i think "deep talk" means is she wants to show people she's serious in her writing. I think it gives her a unique way of writing and a more serious view in her writing.


3) How does Angelou balance an awareness of her audience with a concern for her craft as a writer?

She likes to keep her audience aware but add in her own style of writing. She acts herself to make it fun but also let her audience know she's serious.

"Mom can I?" "NO!" " But I haven't even." "No!" Man I hate when she doesn't even wait tell i ask her. I saw my dad in the living room watching t.v like always. I decided to give it a try with my dad since my mom didn't seem to listen. "Dad can I?" "But." "No!." OMG! again, mhm maybe i should try the daddy's little girl thing I thought. I opened my arms and gave my dad a hug and told him I loved him. My dad then said O.K what do you want?. Yes I cracked him, Dad can i please to my friends party?. "NO! " Why not?", I whined. " Because I don't know her." " Yes you have dad and I'm always hanging out with her." "I'm sorry Gio but you can go." "uhh! O.K." I stormed off to my room and i thought man the daddy's little girl thing didn't work this time.

Mini Group Tragedy Madness

Poka was a sad and lonely person. No one payed any attention to her or even loved her. Poka was done with being a loner. "I'm tired of this." She said to her care bear. " Hey where are you going!" The care bear had done it, he jumped into the street. " I can't take your frecken problems no more." As he said his last words he got hit by a semi. " Noooooo!" She yelled. "Happy bear! how am I supposed to live without you." She was extremely sad and lonely without her adorable care bear. She was so depressed that she drove to the nearest bridge and parked her car. She walked out and stood out the edge of the bridge for a moment before taking the leap of faith off the bridge. As she was falling she remembered when she had just gotten in and out to go. " oh no" as she though when she was making her way to death who's going to take care of my burger he can't just rot there. Poka didn't care she standed on top of the bridge. Opened her arms wide and across. She closed her eyes and walked forward. "AHHHH!" she yelled all the way down. As she hit the water a circle of sharks surrounded her. And she was eatin into pieces.

Judgement

These group of girls from my old school hated me. I didn't know why or even a clue why they did. But i didn't care,i never care about what people say about me because I know who I am. I was friends with a guy who knew all those girls. He asked me why i never talked to them or even say hi. " Cause them there always talking smack and they think there the shiz." Well i know them there pretty cool." " Come on I'll introduce you to them." " No! it's ok im good." " No! come on." he pulled me by the arm and walked me to them. All the girls waved and said " Hi jesus!" He said hi back and said "This is Giovanna." I noticed them rolling there eyes and crossing there arms. He began telling me one by one there names. Then the one ofthegirls kindly said " We don't care we don't like her." Jesus began asking them why they and they told him because I would be talking behind there back. " What the...I never said anything about you guys." " I don't even know you guys so why would I." One of the other girls spoke and told me that one of my friends told them I was. " REALLY!!!" i said in an angry tone. " Hey I've never talked about you guys." "She talks about you guys." One of the girls agreed with me because unfortunately they've heard her. " Hey where sorry we should of asked you first." "It's all good." Me and Jesus walked, he gave me a big smile and said "See was that so hard?" I smiled back. "ha ha very funny."

This essay inspire's me because i also believe that music can bring people together .Because like he said when your with others you stop being yourself for a little and become us. And it encourages a taste for co-operation with others. Oh and i love his accent and singing in the essay it made it funner and more intersting to keep reading.

1. I think Ecological Intelligence is like knowing the hidden impacts of what we but can change everything.

2. This connects to our project essential questions because in the article it does talk about how the people don't care. Like fore example where so picky that we have to have that specific green T-shirt and we don't even think of the process it goes through and the resources that are used just for only one shirt. But if we could seamlessly calculate the full lifetime effect in our actions on the earth and if we could think ecologically it would make a difference.

3. I think my ecological intelligence isn't high because i don't know much about it. But sometimes I'm aware of how much i waste so i think about what i can do like turning off the light when i don't need it or i try not to waste lots of paper and try to recycle.

1. What strikes me about this film is to see how these people work so hard to live sustainably. How hard they work to be more caring about the world. Like they grow there own food and eat healthy. They walk or ride there bikes instead of driving. And how they use cooking tools to make there food instead of plugging in things.

2. In this film i think the Dervaes family is equal with the needs and wants. I think this because living green for them is a want but also a need because they need the things to grow everything.

3. I think how this film would fit to My Ishmael is because in the book Julie complained how the world was really selfish and not caring and how where all gonna die because of that. But this film is the total opposite of the book because these people actually care and aren't selfish.

4. My thoughts on this film is really good i liked how this people care about the world and care about trying to make things look good. And i liked how these people lived healthy and sustainable.

Assignment 2009 :]

1.) What i think it means to live sustainably is well depending on what your talking about there are two meaning to it.One meaning is like someone who sustains for you. For example my dad sustains me by giving me shelter, food,love,education, and support. And another meaning is like someone who sustains something like to support it and take care of it, not to let it fall.

2.) As a 14 year old i think that we have lots of freedom. Like we have the freedom of speech, the freedom to go where we want, the freedom to dress how we want, and almost to do what we want but not always. But even though we have a lot of freedom we have our limits. Like we can't steal, murder, cheat school, and do drugs.

3.)What i think i could do to make my life more sustainable is by being responsible. Like obey your parents and teacher's and follow rules. Making good decisions will help to because good decisions means good consequences and bad decisions means bad consequences. And being good in school is really important because being good in school well lead you to a good future and a good life.

Semester Goals

My goals this semester is to pay attention more in class and not let things distract me. And to keep track off my homework and do it and get it in on time. And also really try to get good grades this semester. Even if it takes going to tutoring and going to office hours. My top goal is to pass this semester.

1. How are you different now than when you started school in August?

I think i am different know because after experiencing last semester. I know more of what to do and what to expect. And this semester gives me a new fresh start (sorta)

2. What skills do you think are the most important for succeeding in Humanities? Why?

Keeping track of homework and going to office hours would help students and me to succeed. Because being lazy and not doing the work will slow you down. And if you do keep track of your homework and use your teachers to help you understand the homework and get it done will really help.
3. One thing I would like to improve on this semester is....I am going to do this by....

One thing i would like to improve is my writing. And I'm going to do this by using w.e.x as a practice. And having the time to sit down and write on my own time and using the skills I've learned in class will help me become a better writer.

4. What are you most curious about? If you could study any topic, what would you study and why?

probably the most curious thing i would like to study is our own culture. Because not all of us know everything of our own individual culture. And it would be interesting to learn how our people lived and experienced in the beginning and seeing how the worlds changed.
